Branded Residences: Why Fashion Is Entering Real Estate
Written by Felix Shentaler

Luxury living is not a new concept; what is new, however, is the emergence of major luxury Fashion names popping up in real estate listings. This is mostly taking shape in the form of branded residences created in collaboration with luxury brands. With established reputations for quality products and services, brands like Armani, Bulgari, Versace, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, and Maison Margiela are quickly establishing and elevating themselves as the faces of luxury living in terms of lifestyle and residence. These residences are popping up in big cities and fashion hubs globally. Dubai, Miami, London, Bangkok (and Phuket), Saudi Arabia, and New York are leading global markets. Currently, Dubai has the most finished luxury properties and the most locations currently in development, making it the number one spot for anyone looking to invest or purchase a luxury branded home.
A huge incentive for investing in these luxury lodgings is the level of service they provide. As many of the buildings function as hotels, it allows permanent residents to enjoy all of the benefits of a hotel stay from the comfort of their home. Not only the service, but the prime locations of these residences are a massive bonus. Spending the day on the beaches of Sunny Isles in Miami, then relaxing to the sound of waves from your beautifully designed Armani condo.
While high-rise buildings and luxury complexes take much longer to develop and build than a fashion collection, we’re seeing more and more brands delve into the world of interior design, partnering with architects, hotels, and developers globally to bring their vision to life. Translating iconic design staples for the brands into furniture and decor, or the building as a whole, you can now embody what it means to be part of the Fashion world to an entirely new level.
There are a few familiar Fashion names with established buildings currently available, many of which offer hotel rooms and suites as well as residences for sale.
